Le Biau Potager

Organic since its creation in 1989, Denis BRUN and Christophe RAPP produce vegetables on around 8 hectares. Loïc THIERRY and Justine MARTIN joined Denis and Christophe on 1 April 2024.


Vegetable growing

The village of Reppe is located in the Sundgau between Belfort and Altkirch. Its clay soils make it difficult to grow early vegetables in wet springs. However, growing vegetables in the open fields without irrigation allows them to develop their rich flavour at a slower rate.

Compost is the only fertiliser used, feeding the plant by nourishing the soil.

Various hedges have been planted to create a favourable ecological balance.


The Biau Potager team

Nathalie, Estelle and Nadine are the farm's permanent employees. This team is supplemented in summer by seasonal workers to cope with the growing workload.
