The source of the Largue

The Largue River rises in Oberlarg in Glaserberg at an altitude of 500 metres, near the Swiss border, and joins the Ill River on the heights of Illfurth having traveled 46 km. In the 19th century, it provided the energy for 53 mills in 34 villages.
A few metres away is the Mannlefelsen rock shelter where all the prehistory of the Alsatian Jura is concentrated in 8 metres of stratigraphy. Be aware that the site is private and is only visible from the path.
