Bilberry tart festival

The village of Metzeral and the Ilienkopf music society celebrate the blueberry, the famous purplish berry, with its mild and slightly sweet flavour, every year on 15 August. It is presented to you in the form of the traditional seasonal dessert, the blueberry tart. You will have plenty of time to savour this delicacy, which will have been prepared in an artisanal way, during the day.



Indeed, during this event, which takes place on the Place de la Mairie in METZERAL, you will be able to combine the pleasure of the mouth, the pleasure of the eyes and the pleasure of the ear because a large place is reserved for folklore. You will be able to applaud dance groups, alphorns and local folk orchestras and even benefit from an initiation to Alsatian dances.



From midday onwards, you will of course be able to eat at one of the stands set up for this purpose, and then taste the blueberry tart, plain or with whipped cream.



This summer festival, which takes place in a magnificent setting, offers you the opportunity to discover the regional folklore, while delighting your palate...enjoy it!
