We decide on a wellness getaway enjoying the benefits of the forest.
It’s not hard to choose a destination, more than half of the Vosges Mountains are covered in forests!
Our anti-stress programme includes a few days of walking, breathing deeply, relaxing and clearing our minds.
A bath in the forest
We knew a little about Shinrin-Yoku, or “forest bathing”, the Japanese art of spending time in the forest to awaken the senses, reconnect with nature and release stress. Without hesitation, we embark on an invigorating quest for nature therapy in the heart of the forests of the Vosges Mountains.
The forests of the Vosges Mountains
Fir, oak, spruce and beech trees fill a part of the forests of the Vosges Mountains. The range’s semi-western climate influences the plant life throughout the seasons in the hills and mountains, meaning there are different species to discover as you gain elevation on your way up to the peaks.
FORê, born from trees
Created in the Vosges Mountains, FORê is a brand combining 3 types of wellness products: tastes and flavours, spa and wellness, hotels and residences.
A unique experience
The hike through the forest whets our appetite, and we continue the FORê experience at a friendly table d’hôte. Here, we taste some of the brand’s local fare: fresh, quality products made in season. To finish off our relaxing day, we head to a spa in the middle of nature; a real haven of peace.
Rejuvenation in nature
We’re welcomed on a mountain retreat in Wormsa Valley, at the foot of the Hohneck, with yoga, hiking, massages and fasting to gently purify our bodies and find our inner peace.
Low-impact workout-
Hiking is an ideal activity for clearing your mind and filling up on fresh air. Discover magnificent landscapes and a calming environment along nature trails.
Take time for yourself
Thinking about others, accommodating them and waiting for them: it’s not easy to make time for yourself and forget about the rest of the world (for a bit). During our wellness holiday in the Vosges, we feel like we’re reconnecting with ourselves. Now, it’s time to go home and incorporate what we’ve learned into our daily lives.
